What dx code would you use for just progesterone check just lab work. For example we do this a certain amount of days after a embryo transfer or IUI or after ovulation cycle

Z31.83, Encounter for assisted reproductive fertility procedure cycle, would be the most accurate I would think.

I d use why the doctor is checking her progesterone . But I d also use dx N98.3 as an additional dx since related to embryo transfer.

My claims for IUI with Regence has been denying under the dx code Z31.89. I have added N46.9, moved that into the primary dx code for 89261. Anyone have other suggestion's?

can use the dx codes of R39, R86, N80, N85, N73 dx blocks (see below) per edit system we have linked with CMS NCCI. Check provider s documentation for IVF dilemma and see if it these dx listed will help.
