HI All,
A patient has a history of (frequent) kidney stones (Z87.442). during the ED encounter, imaging appreciated a new Kidney stone (N20.0). Would it be necessary to still code Z87.442, since there are (obviously) 2 kidneys. Giving possibility that the prior stones occurred on the other kidney? Please advise...
