I have a provider that is custom casting for orthotics and also billing for the actual pair of orthotics to be molded.

Is the provider able to bill code 97760 and L3030 RT, L3030 LT? (Patient has commercial insurance). If so, does any modifier have to be attached to 97760?

In the past, I've heard that L-codes include the casting/fitting but in the actual description, it doesn't appear that they do? I'm also not seeing an exclusion on the 97760 in the CPT handbook.

I appreciate any feedback!
