I would appreciate your input/recommendations for billing for a neurologist's services with a diagnosis that comes from the "mental disorders" section of ICD-9, e.g., mild cognitive impairment (331.83), mild memory disturbance (310.8), Alzheimer's Disease (331.0). We are receiving denials from insurance carriers stating the condition is a mental health issue and not covered by patient's medical health insurance. Thank you.
