Wiki Coding OCT with Plaquenil

When I code the OCT 92134 I know I can't use the vcode by itself. The patient has RA, but when I look at the LCD it doesn't support the 714.0 dx for RA either. Does anyone know how to code this to get it paid? Thank you.

The only code that I have been able to use and get paid is 362.55. Toxic Maculopathy. Good Luck!

I bill the disease (RA) first followed by V58.69. Long term current use of other medication and have been receiving payment

I would use the RA code followed by v58.69 as well. I would not use 362.55 unless they are actually showing symptoms of Plaquenil toxicity.

That is exactly correct - I have billed V58.69 for Plaquenil SCREENING and been receiving payment, but I agree with aleciaaa10, you would only code the 362.55 if Toxicity was found.
