Does anyone know how to code portable Ultrasound that is not done in a hospital? For example, if this is done by a nurse in the patient's home or other non healthcare setting, will most insurance carriers cover it?

I believe a portable ultrasound is called a bedside ultrasound. This article on AAPC explains it better https://www.aapc.com/blog/24213-bedside-ultrasounds-take-a-closer-look/. If the service is performed in the patient's home this should be billed as a Home health service but whether or not it is covered by insurance depends if it meets certain criteria. Coverage by insurance carriers varies. I also found this site that gives the codes of portable ultrasounds, research the code to be sure https://www.henryschein.com/us-en/images/medical/Konica_Reimbursement.pdf.
