We are coding for chromosomal testing for prenatal patients and want to code a patient with a history of prior pregnancy loss. We know we can use O26.2X for more than 3 pregnancy losses and this code does not stipulate the GA at time of loss. But how do we code fewer than 3 losses when the GA <20-28W? O09.29X covers history of neonatal death and stillbirth; would the term "stillbirth" in this case be limited to GA >28-28weeks? If so would we be compliant if billed z87.59?
Thank you for your time and assistance.
