I work for an ophthalmology practice and one of our doctors did a procedure on an infant who had ankyloblephaon. I am having difficulty finding a code for the repair or lysis of the eyelids for this condition, where these was as piece of skin connecting the upper and lower lids. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Look at this code and verify with physician; 2012 ICD-9-CM Procedure Code 08.02
Severing Of Blepharorrhaphy
?08.02 is a specific code and is valid to identify a procedure.

I suspect you are looking for a CPT code rather than an ICD-9 Volume 3 code.
Depending on what was documented and the extent of the repair, look at 67710 or 67961, if reconstruction was needed.
