Can cpt 27750 be billed out with a stress fracture tib or fib dx 733.93? Or can a fracture not be billed out. Provider billed out the fx code along with the dx code and patient called and said she can't bill a fracture.(patient works for an insurance)
Provider evaluated pt ordered mri then billed out ov with fx code.
please help!
 
of course the provider can bill a fx care code for a stress fx, the codes stae with or without manipulation. The real question is whether you can bioll both the OV and the fx care. As long as the OV documents that the provider was concerned for other injuries or issues you can but if it was all about the fx in question then you should bill the fx care only or the OV only.
you gotta love patient's that have only a little knowledge!
