Am working with the AR training team for the first time and am supposed to prepare brief coding training materials for them. Please share the contents which can be included in the training process.
As of now the contents that i have prepared is,
1. Introduction to Medical Coding - 1 Hour
1.1. Concept of Medical Coding
1.2. Medical Coding Vs Medical billing
2. Tools used in Medical Coding
2.1. Introduction to ICD-10 CM – 1 Hour
2.2. Introduction to CPT – 1 H our
2.3. Introduction to HCPCS – 30 min
2.4. Modifiers and Place of service – 30 Hour
2.5. Sample examples – 1 Hour
3. Coding denials
3.1. How to tackle coding denials – 1 Hour
3.2. Denial samples – 1 Hour
Also let me know if these topics can be covered in 6-7 hours?
