Does anyone have any experience with billing and payment of the Coflex Interlaminar Stabilization Device. The website states to bill with CPT 22840 for Posterior non-segmental instrumentation however, I'm not sure this is the correct way to bill this. I was leaning more towards 0171T for insertion of posterior spinous process distraction device. If anyone with any experience with these could weigh in, I would appreciate it. I have a meeting Monday morning with the rep for the device and would like some documentation showing this should be billed with 0171T if possible. Thanks!
 
I have found that it's carrier specific. Some carriers are very specific and want the 0171t when billing coflex. I know he rep says to use 22840 but it's best to follow carrier bulletins.

Thank you! That is the code I'm leaning towards as well. Was just hoping someone had some documentation, I could use to prove this is the correct code.
