I have a physician who did a partial colectomy with removal of terminal ileum and left the cut ends in the abdomen and closed the abdomen with mesh. He went in a few days later and resected a little more colon and did a ileocolostomy.

I billed this out as 44160-52 for the first day and the next time I billed out 44160-58-52. Medicare denied due to you can only bill this out once in a lifetime. I am needing help on how to code this situation. Please help!
