Collection agency recovery rate

Our current collection agency is collecting 20% of amount placed with them. Is this low or high?

T here are a few factors in collection agency prices but 20% is a reasonable number. The bigger issue is the job they do for you. What is the return the collection agency gets on the accounts you place? Do they provide adequate reporting/information to your practice?
