Colonoscopy for Pre-Op

We have a patient that is scheduled to have a Colonoscopy for Pre-Bariatric Surgery. She is not eligible for dx Z12.11, and as long as it is problem free, how would you code for pre-op?
 
We code Z01.818-Encounter for preprocedural examinations for circumstances such as this. Unfortunately, certain carriers will deny this as experimental/investigational.
 
In the scenario where the patient is having a colonoscopy for pre-bariatric surgery without signs or symptoms, is this considered a screening procedure reported with a screening procedure code?
