This has to be one of the most confusing things I have ever seen! I guess I'm having a hard time getting over the chest tube. Can anyone help me code this? Is it just the colo?

POSTOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: Probable sigmoid volvulus.

PROCEDURE PERFORMED: Colonoscopy with insertion of chest tube
for decompression.

OPERATIVE TECHNIQUE:
With the patient in the left lateral decubitus position under
general endotracheal anesthesia, the Olympus colonoscope was
introduced transanally and there was noted to be stool in the
rectum. The rectum was traversed through the sigmoid colon where
a tapered narrowing was noted. The narrow segment was easily
traversed into a dilated segment of bowel, which was clearly
viable. The scope was then withdrawn and a 36 French chest tube
placed and fixed next to the scope with a rubber band. Two tubes
were then introduced and the chest tube introduced into the
dilated segment. The scope was then withdrawn and the chest tube
placed and hooked to a Foley gravity into a Foley catheter
drainage bag. The patient tolerated the procedure well, left the
operating room in stable condition.
