Can anyone please clarify the components of a complete echo study (93306). I know the guidelines state that the following structures need to be examined - L & R ventricle, L & R atrium, mitral, tricuspid and aortic valves, pericardium and adjacent portions of the aorta. My question is, what is considered as "the adjacent portions of the aorta"? If the report states the aorta was examined, would that suffice? Or does the documentation also need to include the interventricular septum and / or interatrial septum, etc?
In this example, would it be considered a limited study? I would think so, since the pericardium is not viewed
L & R ventricle, L & R atrium, mitral, tricuspid and aortic valves, and aorta were examined.

thank you
