Hello all,

I have an op note states:

Pre/Post DX: Complex cataract

Dense nuclear sclerotic cataract. She has a very small eye, less than 19mm, making this a complex case.

Did query doc to verify trypan blue or other instruments used and this is a Medicare patient. Doctor said no, just small eye making this complex.

Not enough here....66984 366.16 743.10

Thanks for any thoughts!

Lacking notation in the surgical case log of necessity of one of the four types of instruments, disease state that weakens the support structures, dye, pre-op size of pupil I would consider this a normal cataract.
