Hello, I have a hemorrhoid surgery that the internal hemorrhoids were stapled ( hemorrhoidopexy by stapling) CPT code 46947
I could not find a code for just the external hemorrhoid excision by itself... CPT book leads me to ( for hemorrhoidectomy external/single column/group use 46999).
Patient had 2 remaining external hemorrhoids in the superior aspect near the perineum.. Using electrocautery I excised these external hemorrhoids and then approximated the skin with interrupted vicryl sutures.
