Looking for anyone's feedback with their experience using an encoder for computer assisted coding/autosuggested feature on the outpatient hospital facility side. Thoughts/experiences/likes/dislikes would be greatly appreciated.

CAC & Auto suggest feature

In our facility we work on CAC & autosuggest for coding, i find it very helpful and time saving. Would recommend for others to have experience with this software.

My experience is you still need to use the book as these programs do not have coding rules as a part of the program. You can use it as an alternative to an alpha look up but you need to always verify the end result with the code book. My experience is there have been numerous faulty "suggestions"

What product are you using? We are finding many faulty suggestions as well...
