computer crash

We have discovered a computer error that has totally wiped out several days of service from over a year ago now.

They were all coded and paid on, but now we lost everything from those dates.

What do we do now? Refund payors?

document the problem and do not refund the money. Make sure there is complete (more the better) documentation about the problem.

Do you have a back up from several months ago that the information could be pulled from and hence used within the documentation.

Agree with above information given, but another thought; do you have the year end back up for that year? You might be able to get the inforamtion you need. Contact your vendor and ask them for their advise, they might be able to help you obtain the information that was lost. Good luck.:)
