Do the physicians need to get a written consent form to perform procedure 20610 musculoskeletal injection or is a verbal consent enough for documentation? I will greatly appreciate any information regarding this issue.

No written consent needed in the office setting

Once the patient has signed your office paper work which should include a disclaimer that they agree to appropriate medical treatment, there is no need to sign anything regarding the injection.

We are an osteoarthritis clinic and our providers have the pt sign a consent for injections at the time of the first office visit.
