Can an office visit consult be billed under a PA's NPI? I know Medicare, Medicaid, and some other insurances don't accept consult codes but for other insurances like BCBS can we bill a consult under the PA or would you just bill the appropriate new or established office visit?
Same question for hospital consults.....can these be billed under a PA's NPI?
If you have any links to documents online that say one way or another, that would be helpful so I can share with my coworkers. Thanks!
