One of my Doctors is Consulting in another Dr's Office that is on the campus of a Hospital that my Doc is a Hospitalist at. I don't know how to code for her in office ( not inpt or outpt) consultation at another physician's office. Any help I can get I would appreciate it - Place of Service???
 
Is the place of service licensed as a department of the hospital? It's possible. The E&M code would be whatever you would normally code. The place of service may be 22 if it is actually a department of the hospital. It would be considered 'outpatient.'
