Wiki consult with family/patient not present

Hi

One of the pedicatricians in the practice met with the mother of a child without the child present.

i've told the dr that this is non billable as the E/M codes require an exam to be done and, of course, this cannot be done without the patient present.

any exceptions to this rule?
