Can these codes be reported by the same provider performing the surgery? I often see surgeons report these as they are stating they did the pathology themselves. I would think a consultation is someone else's opinion and cant be your own.

Also, I have a patient who has known skin cancer via a biopsy from a separate DOS. The provider excised it, did 2 frozen sections and reported pathology consult code and an excision code. Isn't this a MOHS surgery?
