Wiki Contracts with Insurance Payers

If a company wants to supply implant and hardware for orthopedics in either an ASC setting or Hospital, do they have to negotiate a contract with the individual insurance payers? I've read several articles and I'm not 100% accurate to pass on what I'm reading. Looking for some expert advice.
