I am auditing some coronary intervention procedures for a physician practice.

When stenting is performed in 2 major coronary arteries, are they both coded 92928. Let's say one was done in the LAD, 92928LD and the other was done in the left circ. 92928LC. Would you add a 59 modifier? or 51?

Then let's say you perform stent in LAD and then another in the obtuse marginal of the left circumflex, would that be coded 92928LD and 92928LC?? With modifier on second stent?

I ask because I am seeing coding of the second stent performed in another major coronary artery (not the branch off of) being coded with 92929 which I thought needed to be billed in addition to the 92928 of the same artery.
Example of what I am questioning: 92928LD and then 92929LC.
