Personally I think one of the best things you can do is to study the instructions given in your CPT book in each of the chapters. It gives instructions on how to properly apply the codes.

Good Day, ddayton85:

If you are still waiting for your books. You can go to the CMS or CDC websites for the ICD-10 coding guidelines and start studying them. If you getting 2020, download 2020. If you are getting 2021 books, download 2021.
Here are the links:
CDC https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/icd/icd10cm.htm scroll down to "2021 release of ICD-10-CM" (I prefer this site for ICD-10-CM codes/guidelines.)
CMS https://www.cms.gov/medicare/icd-10/2021-icd-10-cm (This site has both ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes)

Good Luck! Let me know if you need any additional help. Take care and be safe.
