Hi all,
I am receiving denials from medicare on coding U07.1, Virus identified. this was used as primary DX
It says code to highest level of specificity.
I thought this was the highest level of specificity?

What am i not doing correctly please?

Hi,
Thank you for your reply. I have just spoken with Medicare and code U07.1 did not become valid until 4.1.2020 you are correct. My claim was submitted before then as my Tech People set it up for transmittal.
I will resubmit claims.
