Our providers sometimes do an antigen test and follow up with a PCR test if they suspect the antigen to be false. Has anyone else done this using 87428 and 0241U? If so, are you being reimbursed for both tests? Thank you.
 
Hello,
You should be getting reimbursed for both. When are you "following up" with 0241u? Are they back to back tests on the same DOS and you're billing on the same bill? Or are you truly following up a few days later because symptoms have persisted, therefore, additional testing is needed? This code represents infectious disease (viral), including covid, influenza a, and influenza b, along with rsv, and other upper respiratory.
