I work full time in healthcare, have for over 15 years in administrative roles, and was thinking I want to keep that job and try to find a CPC-A externship I can do some nights or weekends for experience. But I'm thinking now I may be a bit naive to think I'll find something like that. Have any of you CPC-As found the opportunity to gain your experience and also keep your day jobs, or am I perhaps going to have to cut the cord, go back down to entry level with a huge pay cut and keep my fingers crossed?
 
Is there any way you can do that with your current job - like spend one day or half a day a week working with someone in a coding or billing role?
