Wiki CPC-A job requirements.

Hi Everyone, I have CPC-A but I was advised to take the Practicode to clear the "A" so I can apply for the job. Is there another way to get the job without going via practicode this will be an immense of help to decide my next move. Thank you-Kusang Sherpa.

Hi Kusang,

Congratulations on becoming CPC-A certified! The only other option of getting coding jobs without going via the practicode route would be to find a no experience required position and work for 2 years to remove the A from your CPC certification. Our profession is very hard on newly credentialed coders without good reason. Most forget how they got started in billing or coding. It's not fair and I do understand the reasons why these jobs want experience because it affects their finances but shutting out potentially great coders in the newly credentialled has always baffled me. I experience the same thing eight years ago. So I hope this post helps you!
