Hello everyone!
I received my CPC-A in August 2015. I am having a hard time finding a job in coding that doesn't require experience. I am an experienced (5+ years) Certified Medical Assistant with a medical transcription background as well. I recently lost my job as a CMA due to the company closing after several years and got hired on with a well-known hospital system who bought us out. I took the job as a CMA for financial security until I find a coding job. I would love to stay with the hospital system, but cannot bid on another job until I have atleast 1 year in. I don't really want to hold off that long as I am afraid it may diminish my chances of ever getting in the coding field. Any advice?
