Our doctor did a Rt. vent tube placement in the office and also did a nasal endoscopy but she indicated no level E/M. Can we bill the nasal endoscopy 31231 with modifier 51? Again I am two weeks into coding and I need help.

The answer is yes, you can bill both procedures and use modifier 51 on 31231; obviously your MD did not feel it appropriate to bill the E/M, especially if this was a planned procedure and the patient was seen recently.
