I am about to take my CPC exam, and I am already looking into whether it's beneficial to work on the CPC-H credentials.

Does anyone have any experience where this made you stand out in regards to a career? I've been searching job postings, and most make not mention at all of the CPC-H.

BTW, I am close to 3 years experience in coding, and ideally I would like to work from home hence the reason I was looking into the CPC-H.

Hello,

I am also a CPC coder and studying for my CPC-H. I know here in New Mexico at our trauma center to be hired as a coder II (with much higher pay) in order to qualify with your credentials you must have one of the following...RHIA,RHIT,CCS, or CPC-H. a CPC alone will not qualify you. So in my opinion a CPC-H will be very benificial. Hope this helps.
