I have five years of experience in medical coding and billing at a physician’s office specializing in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility/OB/GYN.
Currently, I work at a physician’s office as the sole medical coder and biller. My coding duties include coding office visits (E/M), coding all surgeries, diagnostic and laboratory procedures (the office has an in house lab), and assigning appropriate diagnosis codes. My billing duties include entering and reconciling daily charges, submitting insurance claims, working insurance denials, posting all insurance payments, posting patient payments, and accounts receivable.
Before working as a medical coder and biller, I worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for twelve years which gave me a vast knowledge of medications, medical terminology, and medical conditions.
