One of my providers is coding a removal of foreign body with L73.1 but is getting denied by insurance due to incorrect Dx code. Since I am new to this practice, what would you recommend the procedure be coded as... the documentation does not support and I&D but it was subcutaneous. She will need to amend the note, but either with a different CPT or Dx code. Any thoughts or advice on how to address this with the provider?
