The consult codes are still in the book. Did I read that MCR will not pay for them anymore but other insurance companies may? Are they still billable? Was the modifier approved for use?

Consults are still in the book, MCR will not pay, yes, they are still active for other carriers (for now). Modifier has not been approved yet, but will be by Jan 1 is my understanding.
There are other posts on here concerning this issue also. You might try the search feature and see what else has been said!
