Hi I received notice that medicare wants to take back payment, should I have coded this different? pt had painful aneurysm in upper arm where she had a previously placed avf, Surgeon did resection of aneurysm and repair of left brachial artery, I coded 36832 and 35206. Should I have used 35190? Thanks in advance! note read:
The patient was brought to the operating room and placed in the supine position. The left arm was prepped and draped sterilely. An elliptical incision was made over the area at the brachial artery and also over the aneurysm. The aneurysmal area of the brachial artery was resected first. The artery was repaired using a running 6-0 Prolene suture. Attention was turned to the larger aneurysm. An elliptical incision was made over this as well. It was completely excised and sent to pathology.
