Hello - I have a provider that is performing an open radical nephrectomy with retroperitoneal lymph node dissection. My confusion is whether or not the lymph nodes that were dissected are included in CPT 50230 which includes regional lymph nodes. The additional lymph nodes that were dissected; paracaval and interaortocaval lymph nodes. Would you code CPT 38747 in addition to 50230 or would you include these lymph nodes in CPT 50230?
