It is my understanding CPT 60271 is for complete/total removal of the thyroid.(please correct me if I am wrong!) Our provider removed only one lobe. His documentation supports CPT 60271, however, without a total thyroid removal. Any recommendations on the correct CPT code? Thanks for the suggestions!
