Can someone help me to better understand CPT 72081-72084. If the MD is ordering Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar x-rays are they billed separate or do I count the total views and use the CPT 72081-72084 codes instead?

You would choose 1 code based on the total number of views if this is for a scoliosis evaluation. If this is not entire spine views for scoliosis, then you would look at the individual spinal area CPT codes instead of the 72081-72084 section. You may want to provide an example of the technique if this does not answer your question.
