I have a Radiology question - Are there any coding guidelines for 73200 (CT Upper Extremity)? I have been told that you cannot code 73200 multiple times for same extremity in the same session, i.e humerus, forearm, wrist etc.

Any help on this would be most appreciated!

Thank you!

That's correct. A single unit of the appropriate upper extremity CT code covers one or more scans of that extremity. The MUE for 73200 is 2 based on anatomic consideration should the procedure be bilateral, otherwise it doesn't matter if they scan the clavicle and the wrist on the same side...it's only one unit.
