Medicare has denied CPT 73630 when billed with modifiers LT and 26. Should we not use the LT modifier? The reason for the denial states that the procedure code is inconsistent with the modifier used or a required modifier is missing. Please help!!
 
You might want to reach out to Medicare and make sure it was not denied in error. If you are only billing for the interpretation of the foot x-ray (3 vws) it should be 73630-26-LT <--- in that order. Hope this helps!
