Hello,

Can anyone advice the spilt billing of 5 units of each Line item CPT 77300. One line item with 77300-5 units got paid and other line item billed with 77300-I-59 modifier denied. The denial reason is The procedure code is inconsistent with the modifier used. Please advice on modifier to bill for medicaid insurance.

Why are the lines being split-billed? Dosimetry generally wouldn't be split billed - what's happening on this specific case that you're billing a separate line with one unit?

(Also, when asking questions about Medicaid billing, it is important to always include which state's Medicaid program your question is about. Each state operates its own Medicaid program, and the billing guidelines can vary widely from one state to another.)
