Hi All,
Urine drug screen tests were being paid in the past are not getting paid now.
We have been billing it as 80101-qw 11 units for commrcial insurances.
They are getting denied with the rejection code as U930:This service is denied because as per CPT coding guidelines there is a modifier used which is invalid in combination. Payer is Horizon.
Please guide me how to bill this service urine drug screen for commercial payers and Medicare.
And also when to use modifier QW and when not to use.
Please give me the billing guidelines.
