hello,
I am new to this field and would like to know if anyone knows how to bill out cpt 92140 Provocative tests for glaucoma since it has just been deleted this year 2017? thanks , Susan
 
According to Supercoder CPT 92140 (Provocative test for glucoma) is a deleted code effective 01/01/2017, in response to CMS screen for high-volume growth. There is no replacement code for this. It may be included in glucoma screening, eye exam codes or you may have to check with your payer policy.

It states:

CPT® 2017 deletes 92140 for a proactive test for glaucoma. At this time, CPT® does not provide anindication as to the reason for deletion of this code. CPT® also does not provide a crosswalk for thiscode, but check with the individual payers for their policies on codes to report for this service. Refer tothe CPT® manual also for further direction.
