One of my providers did phlebectomies today. The issue is he only did 7. In the research that I did, it says to use CPT code 37799. How do we bill for this code as there isn't any RVU attached to it or a fee amount. Any help would be great!
 
The process is the same as it is for any unlisted procedure code in the book. There is no RVU assigned because this is a catch-all code for whatever does not have its own code. You will have to send the supporting documentation along with the claim. As far as choosing a fee, that will have to be done by whoever assigns the fees to any of your procedures. I've never known that to be a coder's responsibility.
