Modifier 47 definition is: Anesthesia by surgeon If my physician is a Pediatrician and does not specialize as a surgeon should we even attempt to use the 47 modifier or should we still use the modifier 59?

54150 includes the block, 64450. Modifier 59 can be used if documentation supports the block was used for reasons other than the circumcision.
