Wiki CPT code for nail biopsy for melanom

Good Morning everyone
A question was brought up during our monthly CPT meeting concerning a nail biopsy for melanoma - The question was brought up if this could be upcoded to a 305 or would it be a 304 regardless?

Thoughts?
 
This came up with a group I worked with. We reasoned that if the biospy of the nail (typically the nail bed) is for something other than fungus, as to r/o neoplasia, then 88305 is appropriate. Padget's resource indicates 88304 when submitting nail or nail bed for fungus, but it does not state that nail/nail bed is 88304 regardless of the indication or diagnosis.
